About Me

My Cat, Purrsey, and I

My name is Isabel Westerman, but most people call me Izzy. Both of my parents are remarried, after they got divorsed when I was a year and a half old. I live with my mom, Gina, my stepdad, Greg, and my little sister, Josie. Josie's technically my half sister, but she'll always be considered a full sister to me. At my dad's house, I have a cat named Purrsey, a dog named Baker, and a snake named Eli. I spend most of my time cheering, whether it's for the SRV JV team, or California Spirit Elite all star competitive cheer. I also love listening to music. There isn't a genre of music that I don't like. My favorite book is Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, and I'm beginning to read the sequel, Linger. I'm not the biggest fan of reading, but if I find the right book, I get hooked really easily. I like writing way more than reading. One of my writing goals for this year is expanding my vocabulary to make my writing more interesting. One of my favorite quotes is "Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss" —F. Scott Fitzgerald. I believe that the decisions that people make, even the smallest ones, can change a person's life, for good or for bad.
